About: An 1890s building on Lavaca Street has seen a variety of uses (first as a fire station that burned down and was rebuilt, then for local boot and saddlery manufacturing, most recently as an interior renovation in the style of a Venetian palace). But it’s been best known for decades as the Capitol Saddlery, and perhaps best beloved for its large boot still affixed to the facade.
