Sensual Horizons: New Work by Rebecca Bennett

Austin artist Rebecca Bennett moves color to create jewels of sensual, layered, vibrant oils that recall landscapes and seascapes.

Rebecca Bennett's layered abstractions in oil on canvas and panel are vibrant, large, and sensual.  Her work explores the dynamics of color, line and texture as her brushes and palette knives respond to manipulations of oil and mineral spirits.  Often she uses the horizon line in her large canvases to evoke a sense of grand space and serenity in which one can escape and reflect.
