Celebrate Mexico

With the beauty of Mexico and its people in mind, our November exhibit celebrates its true heart and soul.

November 8, 2010 – December 30, 2010

Opening Reception: Thursday November 11, 6 – 8 pm

These days, we ache for Mexico, our cherished neighbor and to some, a second home—how frightening a visit there can seem now, due to drug wars and border violence. Still we love Mexico, yearn for it and stand in awe at its people, its variety, its color, its architecture, its style. For our November exhibit, we Celebrate Mexico with expressive work that shows its true heart and soul.

ON EXHIBIT THROUGH DECEMBER:

William Coupon’s Social Studies
Portraits of Mexico’s peoples, including the Lacandon, the Tarahumara and the Mennonites

Jann Alexander’s Mission: Mexico
Paintings and portraits inspired by mission churches in rural Yucatan and Chihuahua
